It is a scalable supplement that you use as much of, or as little of, for the desired effect that you’re after. Being able to tweak your serving size 50 mg at a time is really useful for people who are serious about their stack.
It’s also well-balanced with numerous other ingredients to make sure you avoid energy crashes. Below, we look closer at Performance Lab Stim’s effectiveness and why it is much more than just a caffeine pill.
NutriGenesis Caffeine Balance B-Complex
(Vitamin B2+, Vitamin B6+, Vitamin B9+, Vitamin B12+)
The first 4 ingredients in Performance Lab Stim are a beautiful touch to this stimulant. Why? Because they’ve been carefully selected to balance out the negative effects of caffeine.
Caffeine gives you more energy and focus, but it also has a diuretic effect which can remove the B vitamins and minerals faster from your system. These nutrients are important for ensuring you have a healthy nervous system, energy metabolism and balance of brain chemicals that keep you in that state of peak performance.
This works in numerous ways, like supporting your levels of serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine, and cell energy production. The other advantage of doing this is that it allows you to scale up the dosage while still making sure you get enough of the right nutrients to negate the nutrient depletion from caffeine.
Q: What does NutriGenesis+ mean?
Nutrigenesis is Performance Lab’s in-house vitamins and minerals which are produced in a lab from probiotic cultures. In doing so, they manufacture these nutrients to be as nature identical as possible to give your body easy-to-absorb, pure forms of everyday nutrients. Far better than most of the synthetic vitamins you get in your typical over-the-counter multivitamin.
Natural Caffeine – 50 mg
As we all know – caffeine is the best natural option when it comes to boosting your energy, focus, power output – or whatever stimulated activity you need it for.
However, too much caffeine can cause problems – everyone has a tolerance level, and going above it can risk side effects. To help prevent this Performance Lab Stim contains 50 mg of natural caffeine per capsule. This allows users to scale up the amount of caffeine in their stack piecemeal in a safe, gradual way to suit their needs.
Suntheanine L-Theanine – 100 mg
A great addition to find in our Performance Lab Stim Review, L-Theanine is one of the best amino acids to couple with caffeine to keep you firing on all cylinders without the energy crash. Caffeine L-Theanine stacks are
This amino acid in Performance Lab Stim can amplifies your brain’s alpha waves which promote wakeful relaxation – which is calmness without the drowsiness, as well as a reduction in anxiety and a boost in creativity.
This is all nutritional gold for a supplement like Performance Lab Stim, as you’re matching the stimulating effects of caffeine, with the calming effects of L-Theanine. The result is that you have the energy, focus and power boost of caffeine, while having a calm controlled demeanor from the L-Theanine.
It’s the best of both worlds, and may support your dopamine, GABA, serotonin, central nervous system and general balance in your brain.
Q: What does Suntheanine mean?
A: Suntheanine is the brand of the L-Theanine used. It is natural-identical and has clincial studies showing it to raise alpha brainwaves. The amount of Suntheanine in Performance Lab Stim gives you 10x the amount of L-Theanine you would get in a standard cup of green tea.
Ajipure L-Tyrosine – 250 mg
This is a great form of L-Tyrosine, that goes well with the overall effects of the caffeine in Performance Lab Stim.
One of the main reasons it works so well is how it helps when caffeine starts depleting your stimulatory catecholamine neurotransmitters. That’s your dopamine, norepinephrine and adrenaline: the things that give you that pleasure, focus, energy, power output – all that good stuff. When you’re riding high on caffeine – you’re using up those areas.
L-Tyrosine helps by supporting the recycling of these catecholamine neurotransmitters – which helps keeps your levels high and effective.
There’s also some nootropic effects from Performance Lab Stim’s L-Tyrosine which can help memory, multitasking, reducing stress and thinking under fatigue and pressure.
It’s a really good choice in this supplement to handle the caffeine in here.
Q: What does Ajipure mean?
A: Ajipure is a brand of L-Tyrosine which is made from the non-GMO, gluten-free vegetable-derived carbohydrates. It’s as clean as it comes and a nice pure option for this supplement.
Summary of Performance Lab Stim’s Ingredients
Overall, the ingredients in Performance Labs Stim are among some of the best we’ve seen in a caffeine supplement. The Performance Lab Stim supplement has a well-thought out formula that goes the extra mile to give you the typical boost you get from caffeine – and then so much more.
Things like the:
- B Vitamins – They help replace the nutrients you lose from caffeine’s diuretic effects.
- L-Theanine – The amino acid that manages energy crashes and promotes non-drowsy calmness and relaxation.
- L-Tyrosine – Supports catecholamine neurotransmitters which are working overtime while you’re under the effects of caffeine.
It’s benefits like these, that make the Stim formula closer to that of nootropics, rather than a quick pick-me-up. You’re not only going to get a huge boost from the caffeine, but the other ingredients in here are going to handle the negative effects to help give your brain a more focused benefits, rather than just a straight rush you’d get from regular caffeine intake.
All in all, it’s the most impressive caffeine supplement we’ve seen for mood, mind, energy levels and motivation.
Safety: Does Performance Lab Stim have side effects?
Performance Lab Stim is safe to use if you have no problem with caffeine. There have been no reported side effects with those using Performance Lab Stim, with only 50 mg caffeine per serving, you’re unlikely to have any problems. You can scale this up to 250 mg caffeine without taking any big risks in combination with the B vitamins, L-Theanine and L-Tyrosine.

My Review of Performance Lab Stim
For my Performance Lab Stim review, I was taking 2 capsules per day. I had already been using it for a while already (and still do!), but this review is a good excuse for me to document my experience for the site. Plus there aren’t a lot of other reviews out there talking about what this product provides.
When I take Stim…
I take Performance Lab Stim most days; sometimes for the gym, but almost always for work. Before Performance Lab Stim I would take a strong cup of black coffee with an L-Theanine supplement. Now I take Performance Lab Stim with Performance Lab Mind every morning.
Why I take Stim…
It’s far better than black coffee. Although a coffee would energize me, I’d find myself flagging around midday, and never really recover that level of productivity after lunch.
With Performance Lab Stim, I motivated to work all day. The energy crashes / flagging that I used to experience after a few hours of coffee was gone. I put this down to the the L-Theanine, Tyrosine and B Vitamins which are propping up this blend. I can sit down plow through my 90 minute work blocks with no distractions
It works like how I want coffee to work, after I consume it, I can function for longer periods of time effectively and without side effects like crashes or jitters. If I really want a black coffee and not want to upset my caffeine levels, I’ll have a decaffeinated coffee purely for the ritual / flavor of it before work. Any given time though it’s always Performance Lab Stim > Coffee for performance.
Other uses…
I’ve also seen good results from taking Performance Lab Stim as a pre workout before the gym. If I don’t feel like hammering out a session, I’ve found that if I take Stim before going in, it’s easier to find that motivation to get in there and not throw away the gym session with poor performance.
In terms of the actual experience, I feel like my power output is enhanced if I take it in 100 mg doses, and that it boosts my concentration during those heavy compound lifts where I really have to dig deep.
I’ve also experimented with Performance Lab Stim for gaming sessions. I feel like I perform better with Performance Lab Stim, but I definitely mess around with it more in that area to know for sure – I typically do this at night after work so I don’t usually introduce caffeine around this time.
Final Thoughts…
In my opinion, Performance Lab Stim rocks. If you’re looking into natural supplements that performs better than a cup of a coffee – or your run of the mill caffeine / energy drinks, this is it.
From my Performance Lab Stim review, I can say that I perform much better at work; both for longer periods of time, and more productively. I feel the B complex, L-Theanine and Tyrosine really help fight any side effects you would encounter with normal caffeine products like coffee or energy drinks.
I’ve also found this supplement to be helpful in the gym with both my motivation and my lifts. It’s definitely a supplement I used on an almost daily basis, and have done for many months.
If you’re on the fence about taking it, click around on their website and see what you think – Performance Lab definitely know what they’re doing when it comes to supplements.
